Defective/Damaged Items

ReliaBuy is committed to making your online shopping experience a satisfying one. As such, we offer the solutions below to remedy defect and damage issues:


DAMAGED ITEMS

FREIGHT SHIPMENTS
If your item ships by freight truck, you must inspect the item AT TIME OF DELIVERY:

1.  If MAJOR damage is observed, REFUSE the delivery
2.  If MINOR damage is observed, NOTATE the damage on the shipper’s paperwork
3.  If NO damage is observed, sign for the delivery as ‘free and clear’

If you sign for the unit without notating the damage on the shipper’s paperwork (known as the B.O.L.) or refusing the delivery, then YOU become responsible for any damage noticed thereafter! However, if you follow the instructions above, then ReliaBuy will take care of the issue for you by repairing or replacing the unit at our discretion, all at no charge to you.

UPS/FEDEX GROUND SHIPMENTS:
If you happen to be present at time of delivery and the outside of the package is clearly damaged, then you should REFUSE delivery. However many times these types of packages are simply left at the door so in that case, simply call or email us asap and we will arrange for UPS to come back and pick the damaged package up and ship you a replacement unit.


                                                   DEFECTIVE ITEMS

Every item we sell comes with a defect guarantee in the form of a Manufacturer Warranty. The length of this Warranty is provided in the Product Details section of each item. While the Warranty Period is listed, some warranties are limited and cover parts and not labor, and some have other restrictions against customer misuse etc. As we do not service or fulfill Manufacturer Warranties, you must contact the Manufacturer directly to obtain such fulfillment.

As many of the items we sell are large and heavy equipment, most defect warranty work is performed on-site via a certified commercial repair company. In some cases, the issue can be resolved immediately while in other cases, parts must be shipped to the technician. Manufacturers will always look to Repair equipment first but if the issue cannot be resolved via an on-site repair, they will then often offer a replacement unit.

Please note that ReliaBuy does NOT fulfill or service Manufacturer Warranties and as such, all defect and warranty claims and issues must be made with the Manufacturer.
